Business Development Officer

About the Role

Vapor Technologies is hiring a Business Development Officer to drive our pipeline of client engagements, SaaS trials, and government/tender opportunities. This is a revenue-generating role at the core of our growth strategy, converting outreach and marketing effort into closed business across our agency services (custom software, web platforms) and SaaS products (Force HRM, EduFlow, TableFlow).

What You'll Do

• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads across SME clients, corporates, and government bodies
• Book and run product demos for Force HRM and other SaaS offerings
• Monitor and submit tender pre-qualifications and government procurement opportunities
• Prospect for local purchase order (LPO) and ICT supply opportunities
• Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to signed agreement
• Report on pipeline health and closed revenue

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management (Kenyan market experience preferred)
• Comfort working with SaaS trials, technical products, or agency services
• Experience with or willingness to learn tender/procurement processes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working with a compensation structure that rewards results

Compensation

• Base salary plus commission on all closed revenue
• Clear monthly KPIs: qualified demos booked, SaaS trials started, tender submissions

This is a hybrid role based in Nairobi, Kenya, and one of Vapor's first dedicated commercial hires.
